New KPÖ board elected: Fresh management team for Salzburg

Last weekend, the members of the KPÖ Plus made an important decision: they elected their new state board. The elections were unanimous, with Kay-Michael Dankl, as the state spokesman and Natalie Hangöbl, being confirmed as his deputy. In addition to them, Sarah Pansy also kept their positions as the state manager and Christian Eichinger as a financial officer.

An exciting innovation in the party leadership is Cornelia Plank, who is now taking on the role of the club chairs in the Salzburg town council. Furthermore, with Roberta Jelinek, the spokeswoman for the young left, and Max Rigele, two other members were elected to the board as party office managers. It is particularly noteworthy that four out of seven board members are women, which makes KPÖ plus one of the latest party tours in the entire state of Salzburg.

success and outlook

This nationwide conference concludes a phase that was characterized by intensive, successful elections. Kay-Michael Dankl emphasizes: "The state board is broader. This reflects the growth of the past one and a half years." In the 2023 state election, the KPÖ Plus achieved about twelve percent, which brought them four mandates. In the city of Salzburg, the number of mandates was able to rise from one to ten, and they also established themselves in Hallein and Wals-Siezenheim.

The strong result of these elections is seen as a clear signal of trust in voters. Dankl sees this support as an order to further contribute to social matters and the subject of affordable living. The focus will be on involving even more volunteers in the activities of the party and growing further. "We are ready to pursue our goals vigorously and show people that we stand up for their concerns," he adds.
