Maxglan celebrates restart: with new actions in the economic season!
maxglaner hauptstraße soon shines again in new splendor. The proud chairman of the Maxglaner Wirtschaft (IMW) initiative group, Sandra Perrotta, was pleased with the upcoming end of a long and difficult construction phase. Since March 2024 she is at the head of the IMW and sees her main task in being the voice of the local entrepreneurs and representing their interests. "The goal is to optimize the economic conditions and to make it as easy as possible for people," says Perrotta.
End of the construction site means a welcome relief for the entrepreneurs in Maxglan. "We have had to accept significant loss of sales in the past few months," explains Perrotta. This time was characterized by challenges that resulted from the background noise of the construction site and the general economic situation. The joy of the upcoming normal operation is all the greater.
diverse celebrations planned
In order to celebrate the reopening, the IMW has put together a colorful program. From December 2 to 7, 2024, customers can look forward to a ten percent discount in participating shops. In addition, Nicholas and Krampus will visit the shops on December 4 from 3:00 p.m. It becomes even more festive every Friday from November 29, when the traditional music band moves through the Maxglaner Hauptstraße and plays advent music. Another highlight will be the popular Krampus run on December 8, which is supposed to enrich the atmosphere in the district.
For the community of Maxglan entrepreneurs, many of them family -run and traditionally, membership in the IMW offers numerous advantages. The close cooperation enables you to carry out actions together, which benefit both the individual companies and the community. This includes, among other things, the annual "spring awakening", in which customers receive tulips when shopping.
Communication within the IMW takes place through regular board meetings and member events in which central topics are discussed. "We always keep all members informed, be it about emails or our newsletter," said Perrotta.
look ahead
with the end of the construction site in view, the Maxglaners are looking forward to the return of the car -free day in 2025, which was exposed to the current construction work. "This is our annual highlight, in which the whole street is revived and many friends and interested parties come together," says the chairwoman with a smile.
It remains important that the Maxglaner charm, shaped by idyll and a family atmosphere, is preserved even after the renovation phase. "For us it is not only an economic affair, but also a matter close to the heart," concludes Perrotta.
