Salzburg, Österreich - In Salzburg, more than 300 young talents today do their best in the “Prima La Musica” competition. The competition, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, is a platform for musicians aged 6 to 21 to show their skills and receive valuable feedback from experts. The event takes place from February 18 to 22 in the renowned Mozarteum and in the Musikum Bergheim, as Orf Salzburg reported.
outstanding achievements in the music scene
The focus is particularly on wind instruments and percussion, which are presented at the highest level this year. Alexander Rainer, the Hallein music school director and chair of the specialist advisory board, emphasizes that impressive achievements can be seen in all age groups. An example of such a talent is 14-year-old Fanny Derdak from Wals-Siezenheim, who has been playing clarinet since she was 7 and has gained experience in national competitions. "You are always very nervous, but I realize that I got better through more frequent games," she says proudly.
The competition also offers the opportunity to win pedagogical offspring. Music school director Anton Mooslechner emphasizes that the time is cheap for young people who are striving for training in music, especially in view of upcoming retirement. The Musikum Salzburg currently employs 420 teachers and is increasingly looking for domestic educators to promote the training of talented children. SN refers to the important role that plays events such as "Prima La Musica" for the promotion of musical talents.
