Rescue operations in Piedmont: Skiers stuck on mountain because of wind!
In the Italian Alps, more precisely in the popular Alagna Valsia ski area in Piedmont, about 150 people are stranded at various mountain stations due to strong winds and associated cable car cancellations. The rescue workers are strongly used to bring holidaymakers safely into the valley, including skiers and hikers. Due to the extreme weather conditions that make it difficult to rescue, the emergency services are on foot with both slopes and on foot, such as reported.
