Regular revolution in ski jumping: only a suit for athletes!
Trondheim, Norwegen - An epochal bang in ski jumping: Due to the scandal for the Norwegian suits at the Nordic World Ski Championship in Trondheim, FIS took drastic measures. From now on, only one suit is allowed for the rest of the season. This is checked, moved in and kept safely on the morning morning. The athletes are allowed to pick up their suit 30 minutes before the competition and have to give it back half an hour after the last jump, as Thomas Turnbichler, head coach of the Polish men's team, explained in an interview with ORF .
These strict rules apply until the end of the current season. The only exception: If the suit is damaged and cannot be repaired, the athletes may choose another suit that was used during the season. All suits will be thoroughly checked before the next competition in Oslo. The control of the suits is intended to ensure that all participants are treated fairly and have the same requirements.
