ÖSV athletes celebrate European Cup success: Nadine firmly in focus!
The Alpine Ski-European 2025 has been completed and Austria's athletes have achieved impressive successes. Nadine, the 26-year-old from Austria, triumphed in the overall ranking of women and thus secured the qualification for all World Cup disciplines of the coming season. With admirable performance, she also won the ratings in the departure and in the Super-G. Nina Astner, 24 years old, set another highlight in the giant slalom by also taking first place. These successes are part of a strong overall appearance of the Austrian team, which also shone in the men's area. Vincent Wieser (22) sat on the highest podium in the Super-G, while Andreas Ploier (27) finished third and was able to ensure a fixed place in the World Cup. Nadine Fest had previously celebrated a significant success on international parquet as a junior Super-G World Champion at the Ski Junior World Championship in Åre, Sweden. She won the race with an outstanding time of 1: 15.10 minutes. Dengscherz took third place. Nina Ortlieb rounded off the excellent team performance with a fourth place. These successes confirm the strong level of the Austrian young athletes.
The Europe-wide success also has a positive impact on the overall World Cup ratings. In the overall World Cup for men, the Swiss Marco Odermatt leads with 1596 points after 34 out of 37 races.
