Austria's snowboard heroine Payer triumphs in parallel slalom!
Austria's snowboarder have impressively cut off at the recent competitions in Mylin, China, and Winterberg, Germany! Sabine Payer, formerly Schöffmann, secured victory in the parallel slalom among women and prevailed in the exciting final with only 0.17 seconds ahead of Japanese Tsubaki Miki. Despite her over 50 years of age, the legendary Claudia Riegler once again showed her strength and achieved fifth place after she left Miki in the quarter -finals, reported Laola1 .
There were also strong performances among men. Benjamin Karl took second place after a dramatic finish against the Italian Maurizio Bormolini, who crossed him at the finish line with only 0.05 seconds. Arvid Auner and Matthäus Pink landed five and eight in places, while Andreas Prommegger already failed in the round of 16 and took eleventh place. Alexander Payer even resigned in qualification, so that he remained with no result, according to the report from Mylin.

After this successful weekend, the two not only take home the coveted yellow wind jackets, but also important points in the overall ranking. Payer and Schoeffmann are determined to continue to show impressive achievements on December 15th at the next race in Carezza, Italy, as FIS reported.
