Festive controls in Linz-Land: Police pulls alcohol drivers out of circulation
In the district of Linz-Land, increased controls in road traffic have been carried out since the opening of the Christmas markets. The police took the opportunity to take a targeted manner against driving. In the night of Sunday, when the festive markets were opened, special traffic focus campaigns took place.
During these controls, officials had remarkable successes. Two alcoholic drivers were prohibited from continuing and they had to hand in their driver's licenses. The case of a driver who was at the wheel without a valid driver's license was particularly frightening. A drug driver also fell victim to the controls and was pulled out of circulation.
violations and measures
In addition to the alcoholized drivers, a Romanian truck driver was displayed. His vehicle had severe defects that were a serious danger in road traffic. In total, 17 organ mandates were granted by these actions, which means that these people have to expect fines. An amount of 1,320 euros was retained as a security deposit. Furthermore, 35 advertisements were created, and the police carried out 212 alcovort tests to ensure traffic safety. Three lectures to review the state government were also pronounced.
These measures are part of a larger strategy to increase security on the streets during the festive season and to minimize potential dangers for all road users. Responsible driving is particularly emphasized during this time in order to avoid accidents and dangerous situations that can arise from alcohol or drug use. The police remain vigilant to ensure a safe and carefree Christmas season for everyone in the future.
