Honoring the fire brigade heroes: Ceremony in Lambach for outstanding services

In the festive summer refectoration of the Lambach Abbey, the fire department of the fire brigade in the Wels-Land district recently took place under the motto "Thank you 2024". On this special evening, numerous fire brigade officials were recognized for their services and their commitment in the course of the year. The guests of honor included high-ranking representatives such as the state fire brigade commander Robert Mayr as well as district chairman Thomas Sturm and Franz Mallinger from the brass music association.

The event underlined the important role of the fire brigade in the community and emphasized the outstanding achievements of the fire brigade youth and the active groups. The district winners were assessed in various classes, including the water defense, and also participants in the 2024 Federal Fire Brigade Performance in Feldkirch received recognition in the form of souvenir badges.

An essential part of the evening was the awarding of the coveted valuable clips, which were awarded in bronze, silver and gold, based on the point brains of the ratings. In addition, outstanding fire brigade members were honored for their special merits. Christian Kreilhuber from the Weißkirchen fire brigade and Christian Preining from the Kappers fire brigade were awarded the district medal in gold because they had been committed to the fire brigade youth for over 40 years and had performed more than 400 services at the district news center.

The longest -serving fire brigade commander Josef Feichtinger was even awarded the Florian medal in silver, which again shows the appreciation for long -term merits in fire work.

The solemn atmosphere, accompanied by the music group of the agricultural technical school, offered the perfect setting for this honorable evening, on which the effort and dedication of the fire brigade members were focused on. This is not only recognition for those affected, but also an important opportunity to honor and make the importance of fire work in the region.
