Thomas Preining remains loyal: DTM season 2025 in sight!
The former DTM champion Thomas Preining will remain on board Porsche in the coming season and has extended his factory contract. The German manufacturer announced this on Saturday evening during the "Night of Champions". Preining, which comes from Upper Austria, had completed the last DTM season in impressive fifth place after winning the championship in 2023.
Speculation about a possible switch to BMW was thus led to absurdity. Even if the Manthey team's commitment is still uncertain for the 2025 season, the 26-year-old will continue to compete for the team. Porsche, who is one of 14 work drivers, is once again in the focus of full support. As the Laola1 also remains part of the work driver team, while Klaus Bachler remains the status of a contract driver takes.
Porsche and Preining: A strong partnership
The decision to continue with Porsche shows Preining's commitment and the strong connection to the team, which has helped him to get one of his greatest successes. Despite the competition on the market, Preining remains loyal to the manufacturer and thus shows his will to continue fighting at the top of the German touring car Masters. The next season promises to become as exciting as the past, in which Preining caused a sensation.
