Focus on Steyr: Survey of attractiveness as a place of work and place of residence
The city of Steyr recently commissioned a survey that deals with the change and move willing of employees. As part of this study, the SPECTRA market research institute found out how Steyr is perceived by people from the surrounding regions as a place of work and residence. This investigation is particularly important because the Steyr companies strive to win and maintain the best -trained specialists, while the city wants to increase its attractiveness at the same time.
Mayor Markus Vogl emphasizes how significantly Steyr is the industrial location in Austria. In order to maintain a livable environment and promote new company settlements, it is necessary to attract specialists to which attractive framework conditions are offered. "A good is too little - we have to stay tuned to remain attractive for foreign skilled workers," said Vogl.
results of the survey
One of the most surprising knowledge of the study is that 84 percent of those surveyed consider the proximity to the place of residence to be crucial for changing jobs. This tendency becomes particularly clear in older workers and women who hang even more on their current place of residence. Despite this slightly pronounced willingness to change, there is still a significant potential: almost 40 percent of those surveyed state that they are considering moving to Steyr under certain conditions.
