Steyr: Hort children donate toys for children in need

In a heartwarming campaign, the after -school children of the St. Anna facility in Steyr recently decided to donate their toys for a good cause. At the age of 6 to 12 years, the children searched their toy boxes and provided numerous well -preserved toys for children in need.

The donated objects included a variety of soft toys, board games and even a scooter that was now handed over to the Red Cross Steyr. The after -school leader, Lisa Lemberger, was the driving force behind this positive initiative, which not only provides toys for others, but also gives young donors the opportunity to develop empathy and help others in need.

The role of empathy

For many children, it is a new experience to give up their own toys. But this process is often experienced as enriching because the children learn how important it is to help others. It's not just about letting go of things, but also about making a connection to those who have less. The joy and gratitude of the recipients are often the best rewards you can imagine.

The decision to donate also has an impact on the community. It shows how easy it can be to make a difference in the life of others, even if you are still at a young age. Such actions strengthen the sense of community and promote awareness of social responsibility in children.

The children's contributions triggered a wave of positive feedback. It remains to be seen whether this does school and inspires other institutions to organize similar fundraisers. This childish impartiality and the desire to do good are encouraging signs at a time in a time when compassion and charity are often pushed into the background.
