"I just wanted to break new ground and create something of my own," says Somasgutner and adds that it has always been her plan to document and pass on the great legacy of Countess Katherina von Lamberg.

In 2010, Somasgutner took the step into the role of the countess and has a suitable dress tailored. Since then she has guided groups through the rooms and tells the story of Katherina, who had ten children with Gustav Joachim von Lamberg. Somasgutner sees parallels between her own life and that of the countess. Both came from simpler conditions and had to find themselves in a new life situation, whereby the challenges for Katherina were even greater in their time: "At their time it was scandalous to have illegitimate children," said Somasgutner.
"The dream of becoming a princess is fulfilled, but princesses also have to work hard," she emphasizes. Their commitment emphasizes that success is often associated with a lot of effort, regardless of the social status you come from. Today she is not only active as a guide, but also looks after the Federal Forest event location in Lamberg Castle and offers guided tours in a tractor work.
