Large exercise in Garsten: 200 emergency services save 40 injuries from accident

In the small community of Garsten in Upper Austria, an impressive major exercise by the volunteer fire brigade took place on November 22, 2024. Together with the Red Cross Steyr Stadt and the Pecinovsky company, over 200 people took part in this elaborate exercise. The aim was to prepare the emergency services for a hypothetical traffic accident that includes a bus, a truck and seven passenger cars (cars).

The scenario provided for a total of 40 injured people to be saved from the vehicles.
