Promote environmental awareness: Workshop of the HAK Rohrbach in Ulrichsberg
In the past week, three Maturants of the HAK Rohrbach organized an exciting environmental workshop at the middle school in Ulrichsberg. The aim of the event was to bring the 4B class students important topics related to climate change and sustainable lifestyle. The workshop was carried out in cooperation with the Rohrbach (BAV) district waste association, with Hannes Sonnleitner, a specialist of the BAV, at the side of the Maturants. He gave the young people the tasks of the association in waste management.
The event included several stations that served to sharpen the environmental awareness of the students. The first stop, called "Waste Academy", tested the pupils' environmental protection skills in the form of a waste rally, where they had to answer several questions. Paulina Höglinger, who worked in the project team, described that the students were traveling in teams of two to test their knowledge.

Another exciting point of the workshop was the “Sustainable Life” station. Everything about the topics of conscious meat consumption and ecological footprint was discussed here. Mahmut Cadirci, another participant, emphasized the importance of such discussions to develop a better understanding of ecological responsibility.
At the end of the workshop there was a quiz and a feedback round to reflect on the experiences of the day. Each participant also received a certificate and a goodiebag as a sign of recognition. Such initiatives are important to sensitize young people to ecological topics and to support them in their scope for action.
