Liquid Lunch from Rohrbach and Schärding wins Eargazmic Contest 2024

DISTRICTS OF ROHRBACH/SCHÄRDING.Austrian band Liquid Lunch achieved an impressive victory at the Eargazmic Contest in Graz. This competition, which took place at the end of September at the Explosiv youth and cultural center in Graz, attracted 84 bands from all over the country who competed for the coveted title and various prizes.

Liquid Lunch, consisting of five experienced musicians from the Rohrbach and Schärding districts, has been active since 2015 and has made it its mission to play rock music in their local dialect. The combination of powerful sound and authentic lyrics convinced both the audience and the top-class jury, which secured them first place.

Prizes and awards

As winners of the Eargazmic Contest, the band not only gained fame and honor, but also won numerous awards. This includes studio recordings in Vienna, an appearance at an upcoming rock festival and a new drum set. In addition, they are now on the list for radio interviews and a book series that will accompany their journey.

However, Liquid Lunch's successes are not limited to the current competition. It was only in October last year that they released their fourth CD, which again contains lyrics sung in dialect. This release is a continuation of her music journey, which began in 2017 with the CD “Wüde Zeit’n”. Their songs are characterized by clear messages and take critical positions on various social issues, which makes them particularly relevant.
