Lifeguard honored: heroes from Rohrbach in the spotlight!

In an impressive honor ceremony, Governor Thomas Stelzer lifesaver from Upper Austria honored, including brave police officers from the Rohrbach district. These "quiet heroes" are exemplary for the commitment of people in Upper Austria. Inspector Sebastian Huber and his colleague Patrick Findt-Reichert saved the life of a 47-year-old woman in Linz on April 17, 2024, who was motionless on the ground with serious injuries at Pichling station. But that was not the only heroic act that was celebrated. Another remarkable incident occurred on December 23, 2021 when district inspector Mario Schaubmayr and his colleagues saved a 74-year-old woman and her dog from a falling vehicle in the Danube. In icy temperatures of four degrees, the police ventured into the water and managed to save the woman through an open window of the car. These extraordinary rescue campaigns not only illustrate the courage of the emergency services, but also the commitment of the police to protect life of human life.
