district. There is reason to celebrate in the Linz-Land region: At the fourth gala, which was dedicated to the Austria Chamber of Agriculture, two companies received the coveted award with the quality brand "Good from the farm". This award stands for products that are generated under strict quality criteria and regional reference.
The "Good from the farm" brand ensures that consumers can rely on the high quality of the products offered. The Austria Chamber of Agriculture protects this brand and guarantees that the excellent companies not only comply with legal requirements, but also sell high -quality products. "We would like to give consumers the certainty that they are dealing with extraordinary products here," emphasized Franz Waldenberger, President of the Chamber of Agriculture Upper Austria
Demeterhof Lederbauer in St. Florian
One of the awards went to the Demeterhof Lederbauer in St. Florian, where Markus Blümel has the management as a young farmer. His operation is known for the species-appropriate attitude of Murbodner cows, which are fed exclusively with its own organic feed made of grass and hay. This ensures particularly tasty milk products. In addition, 600 fruit trees are cultivated on the courtyard without the use of spray agents, whereby a variety of fruits such as apples, pears and figs are harvested. The farm also offers riding lessons and is therefore an attraction for animal lovers and nature lovers.
Spiesmayr-Hof in Wilhering
The second award received the Spiesmayr-Hof in Wilhering, operated by Lisa Aumayr and Klaus Mayr. Their agricultural business is diverse: in their fields, among other things, they grow corn, wheat and sugar beet, which serve as food for pigs. Since 2016, the family has also been devoting itself to growing oil pumpkins, from which it gains fresh pumpkin seed oil. Particularly noteworthy is the passion of the son Elias, who experimented with various types of vegetables and specializes in the breeding of parades and watermelons. The meat from her pigs wears the AMA seal of approval, which also speaks for quality. The “School at the Bauernhof” area also supplements their offer and enables children to gain a practical insight into the agricultural world.
A total of six companies were awarded at the GALA, so that the number of “good from the farm” company in Upper Austria has now risen to 344. These awards are not only a sign of the hard work of farmers, but they also promote awareness of regional products and their quality.
