Healthy kindergartens and crawling rooms: upper seven on the road to success

In an impressive award, the children's country Upper Austria recently gave 24 crawling rooms and 11 kindergartens the title "Healthy Crawling" or "Healthy Kindergarten". This illustrates the commitment in the region to offer the youngest members of the company a healthy basis for their future. There are also two from the Vöcklabruck district among the excellent facilities: the parish caritas crawling room in Frankenmarkt and the community crawling room Unterach am Attersee.

The awards were handed over in Linz as part of a solemn event, the governor's deputy as well as Bildungs and Health Councilor Christine Haberlander was a matter of emphasizing the importance of this development. "Children are our future. Politics and society therefore have to take the concerns of the youngest very seriously," she said, and underlined the importance of healthy nutrition and sufficient exercise even in infancy. This approach should lay the foundation for a healthy lifestyle, which can be promoted by playing and learning in the crawling rooms.

awards and commitment

According to the current figures, around 60 percent of kindergartens in Upper Austria have already been certified as "healthy kindergarten". In addition, 47 crawling rooms have this title. A total of 434 kindergartens and 133 crawling rooms are currently actively participating in the project. "Our leitmotif: Health for a lifetime. From the beginning," continued Haberlander, illustrates the essential connection between the areas of education and health. The pedagogical teams of the excellent institutions and their sponsors and parents have worked on the implementation of the strict quality criteria in the past three years to earn these certificates.

The award is awarded for a three -year starting phase and authorizes the facilities to decorate themselves with these titles. The entire community, including parents and catering companies, was included in this process. "The healthy diet and joy of movement are of central importance," adds Haberlander, showing that the efforts come from many different directions.

  • A total of more than 560 institutions are involved in the health project, with 434 kindergartens and 133 crawling rooms.
  • Almost 31,000 children enjoy these health -promoting programs.
  • Since 2019, in addition to the "healthy kindergarten", "healthy crawling rooms" have also been part of the initiative.
  • The main focus is on health promotion in the everyday life of children.
  • The priorities include daily movement, healthy eating and the psychosocial health of children.

The success and months of hard work show that a strong community is behind the "healthy crawling rooms". The excellent facilities do everything they can to inspire children in a playful way for healthy ways of life and thus anchor positive habits. As also in the comprehensive report on www.tips.at , this approach could not only influence the well -being of the children in the long term, but also ensure increased health awareness in their families.
