Discovery trip into the forest: Students learn from Haibacher hunters
On October 22nd, the students of the Haibach elementary school were allowed to spend an exciting day in nature. They were invited by the hunters of the Haibach hunting company to learn more about the forest, the domestic wild animals and the tasks of the hunters in an interactive way.
The excursion began to look through binoculars at the newly inaugurated Hubertus chapel, where the children were encouraged and to look at various animal models. A central point of the program was identifying different tree species. The young discoverers were given the chance to get to know their environment better. In addition to interesting animal preparations, they received valuable information about the lifestyle and properties of the wild animals from the hunters themselves.
insights into nature
Markus Gahleitner, the hunting director, emphasized how important it was to illustrate the children's links in nature and to sensitize them to the local animals and plants. Another station of the excursion was the game feeding in the forest, where the students could learn how the animals are cared for in the cold winter months. This was a practical demonstration that brought the children the challenges with which wild animals are confronted.
A special highlight of the event was the Hunting Dog Bronko, which delighted the children with his intelligence and obeying nature. The interactions with the dog caused many radiant faces and created a positive mood among the young nature lovers.
Through this practice -oriented excursion, the children not only received knowledge about the forest and its inhabitants, but also practical experiences that they can use in their everyday life. Such events are a great way to promote awareness of nature conservation and the importance of domestic fauna.
