Shaping the future: Successful career fair in Ebensee inspires students
The second career and training fair took place on November 12, 2024 in the Ebensee school center. This event followed the successful premiere of the previous year and aimed to offer the students valuable perspectives for their professional and academic future.
Organized by the Ebensee sports middle school, the fair was aimed at students from Ebensee as well as those interested from the surrounding regions of Gmunden, Bad Ischl and Bad Goisern. The event not only offered access to important information, but also the opportunity to get in direct contact with a wide range of representatives from over 40 companies, institutions and schools.
Insights and opportunities for participants
The students use the morning intensively to explore the various offerings and have valuable conversations. The focus was on the individual strengths and talents of the young people. This meant that these could be taken into account when deciding on their future training or next educational path.
Particularly noteworthy is the presence of local companies and educational institutions, which gave the students a supportive hand through interest tests and career advice. The Upper Austrian Chamber of Commerce and Salzkammergut Tourism were also on site to offer the young people helpful information. Christian Kitzberger, the school quality manager for the Gmunden-Vöcklabruck educational region, was impressed by the organization of the event and the active participation of the students.
"The high level of participation and the positive feedback show that this event is a valuable help for our students. We are looking forward to being able to hold a third edition next year," emphasized the organizers, headmasters Hermann Neuböck and Michael Löscher.
