Art for a good cause: Gmundner Charity Calendar 2025 starts
in Gmunden it is time again: the popular art calendars, operated by the Gmundner Kunstverein together with the local charity clubs, go into the fourth round. For 2025, two calendars in limited edition will be introduced again, which not only give joy to art lovers, but should also help families in the region. The Charity Clubs take over the manufacturing costs of these calendars, which ensures that the majority of the proceeds flow directly into the projects that the Gmundner social welfare office supports.
This year the works by 28 artists are the focus, which develop creatively under the topic of "horizons". Among the participants are well -known names like Christine Pahl and Matthias Kretschmer, but new talents such as Jürgen Bley and Gerti Aigner also bring a breath of fresh air into the calendars. A special highlight is the cover picture of the "Modern Arts" calendar, which was posthumously provided by the late artist Helga Graf in order to duly appreciate her inheritance. The photographs come from Joe Malina.
Young talents in focus
An exciting innovation this year is the introduction of the topic "Young Arts". The work and life stories are highlighted by two young artists, Maike Pichler and Lisa Gierlinger. This gives young art a platform in Gmunden and shows how diverse the creative scene is on site.
The project is supported by nine committed charity clubs, including Lions Club Gmunden and Rotary Club Gmunden. This cooperation ensures that diversity and support within the Gmundner community becomes visible.
proceeds for a good cause
The 28 artists came together to return something with their work. "Every sales contribution counts," says a spokesman for the Initiative. The calendars can be purchased from Friday, October 25th, in the Gmundner citizens' service and at the participating clubs as well as directly from the artists. The price is 19 euros each, whereby the entire income benefits the families at Christmas season. In addition, a work by Maike Pichler is auctioned at a charity vernissage on November 5, which further underlines the artist's commitment.
The thanks not only go to the creative minds, but also to the Gmunden citizens who actively contribute to a more colorful future in Gmunden by buying one of these art calendars. This initiative ensures that "Gmunden for Gmunden" not only remains a slogan, but is lived. Further information and details about the artists involved are in the report on www.tips.at read.
