In Wartberg OB the Aist, a large Tarock tournament recently took place, in which a whopping 60 passionate players challenged their cards. The event was organized in the historic Gasthaus Dinghofer and attracted participants from 13 different districts in Upper Austria. Organized by the local group of the senior citizens' association under the direction of Heinrich Schützeneder, the atmosphere was both exciting and sociable.
The players competed to not only show their card skills, but also to fight for the title in a strategic competition. With a lot of ingenuity and tactics, they tried to secure one of the front places in the course of the tournament. At the subsequent award ceremony, the joy was great when Johanna Kogseder from Zettl at the Rodl was recognized as the best player and overall winner of the tournament.

The performance of the participants were remarkable and witness to high skills. Second place went to Erwin Schachl from Straß in Attergau, followed by Gustav Dobersberger from Steygg in third place and Johann Greindl from Weitersfelden, who won fourth place. The special competition atmosphere was underlined by the ambition and professionalism of the participants. Maria Roselstorfer from the organization team was very pleased with the high number of participants and the general interest in the event.
The tournament was not only a test of the skills, but also a way for the seniors to network and to live out their passion for the card game. Such events not only promote the game itself, but also strengthen the sense of community among the participants that are connected by common interests.
