Nursing allowance claim wins: Family receives support!
Braunau, Österreich - In the Braunau district, a mother has received care allowance in the amount of level 6 for her 17-year-old son, suffering from early childhood autism. But the pension insurance institution (PVA) decided that the need for care had decreased and classified the support at level 3. The Chamber of Labor (AK) made this decision to take legal action. After the lawsuit, the family was granted the care allowance of the original level 6 by the family and social court again, as the AK reported. Their President, Andreas Stangl, emphasized the important role of AK: "If notices do not meet the health state and the need for care of those affected, our members can count on the legal support of the AK."
scope of the need for care
The health of the young person requires over 180 hours of support per month, both during the day and at night when it comes to essential activities such as dressing, body care and food intake. The expert found that the downgrading was inadmissible, in view of the clear impairments with which the young person is faced. These results are crucial because they reflect the parameters of a care assessment that concentrate on mobility, cognitive skills and self -sufficiency, as was shown in a further analysis about the level of care. The procedure for determining the level of care takes important areas of life and the impairment of the independence of those affected to ensure suitable support.
The comprehensive assessment also includes mental problems and the design of everyday life in order to take into account the individual needs and enable correct grade classification. This methodology is explained by the DGV aid and offers essential information about how care levels are determined to ensure adequate care.
