Disappointment in the competition: Lena Raidel's struggle for best performance

Lena Raidel, the talented 20-year-old weightlift from Straßwalchen, recently took part in the Junior European Championships, where she started in class up to 71 kg. The competition turned out to be challenging, and Raidel had to be satisfied with the 13th place, which certainly did not meet their expectations.

In tearing she started with a first attempt at 77 kg, which she successfully mastered. But the next hurdle, 81 kg, turned out to be a challenge too much; Raidel failed in two experiments on this weight class. Even when he was bumping, where she started at 97 kg, she initially made difficulties. After an unsuccessful attempt that compulsive her to cancel, she was able to successfully implement the second attempt. With a further increase to 101 kg, however, the result was disappointing again when she could no longer hold the dumbbell. Ultimately, it came to a total value of 174 kg in duel.

"I expected more from today's competition, but unfortunately I couldn't call up my best today," said Raidel after the competition. She felt well prepared in the warm -up hall, but could not implement her expectations on the competition stage. Despite the challenges, she was pleased to have already played two international competitions this year.

The experiences that she gained in these competitions would like to use it to better cut off at the upcoming European Championships in 2025. "I am very happy about having completed the competitions and will soon start preparations for the next year," continued Raidel.

Although her placement remained behind that, her positive attitude and determination shows that she is ready to continue fighting. The support of club colleagues and trainers will help her to make the necessary progress and to master future challenges.
