New host brings a breath of fresh air to the wild rast of Göpfritz/Wild
The municipality of Göpfritz/Wild is enthusiastic about the new occupation of the catering in the town center. At the recent council meeting, the interest of the citizens was unusually high, but not because of current political issues, but because of the presentation of the new tenant. A suitable successor could be found with Stefan Pani, an experienced thoroughbred restaurant. Stefan enjoyed extensive training in Krems before working in cities like Paris and Hangar7 to finally return to the Waldviertel.
In the inn, the last adjustments will be made in the inn so that the full operation can probably start in February 2025. Stefan gets support from his brother Georg in marketing and from his life partner Kathi in service. "We are very happy that despite the difficult situation at the catering market, we found a host," said Mayor Silvia Riedl-Weixlbraun (ÖVP).
Financial aspects of the investment
The investment amount decided by the local council amounts to around 160,000 euros. This investment is used to bring the wild rast to the forefront and to integrate a new gastronomic concept. The fact that there is an interest in gastronomy in the region is not only the great anticipation, but also in the positive feedback that Stefan Pani received for his plans.
Apart from the presentation of the new tenant, the municipal council meeting began with a minute's commemoration for Walter Bigl, a deceased municipal council. The session also brought changes in the council, since Hannes WoPienka moved up and officially praised at the meeting.
Another important point on the agenda was the auditing report. It was found that the expenses on the agenda, such as the conversion of the Kulturstadl and the canal work, exceed the expected cost estimates. Previously, important resolutions were made, among other things to continue the community Nurse program, the extension of the pre-climatic trim and the allocation of street lighting projects in Göpfritz and Scheideldorf.
Such a development shows how important it is to support local gastronomy and services, especially in rural areas, where return to the roots is often associated with fresh wind and new ideas. The citizens and the community are optimistic that these innovations not only strengthen domestic gastronomy, but also promote the sense of community.
