Art and cuisine: the performance brunch in the heart of Kottes
p Erformance Brunch - art and culinary delays are connected in a very special way. In Leopolds, a charming hamlet in the municipality of Kottes-Purk, such a brunch recently took place in the Glaßner family's idyllic court. Here the traditional baking of bread and the mills were at the center of the event, which not only offered delicacies, but also included cultural performances.
This special event was organized by the clubs 4rest under the direction of Anne Glassner and Art., whose chairwoman is Regina Picker. When the guests arrived, they were welcomed with delicious spreads and a small musical supporting program. The Singkreis Kottes, led by Christine Glaßner, sweetened the beginning of the event with traditional mill songs.

As part of the brunch, visitors were also able to experience an impressive video installation entitled "Foodprints". Various regional businesses and their bread baking art were documented in this project, including the Glaßners, who proudly presented their farm. The exhibition was already shown in the Technical Museum in Vienna and in other cities such as Dortmund and Granada.
A special highlight of the brunch was an informative lecture by Günther Pedrotti, who dealt with the fascinating world of mills. In his lecture, he explained historical relationships, illuminated technical processes and gave interesting insights into the cultural influences that the miller crafts had over the centuries.
The participants also had the opportunity to enjoy the performance "occupied bread" staged by the dancer Cornelia Voglmayr and the artist Peter Kollreider. The focus was on the topics of food and the associated behavioral patterns. It was presented alive how people communicate about food and drinks and what role the food plays in culture.
Of course, the culinary component at this brunch could not be missing. The menu was diverse and included vegetable strudel, spinach strudel, herb stains as well as various dips and salads. To the crowning glory, there were sweet treats such as baked mice, grannies bays and homemade cakes, prepared by the inn "Zur Alten Mühle" in Kottes and led by Monika Bauer.
This performance brunch was not only a festival for the senses, but also a successful combination of art, regional culture and traditional cuisine. Such events bring together the community and promote awareness of local traditions and the importance of nutrition in society.
