Students master the first lower level run in Katzelsdorf

First in -school run thrilled students

At the Klemens Maria Hofbauer Gymnasium in Katzelsdorf, the premiere of an internal lower level run was recently carried out. Pupils of the eighth grade have organized this exciting event under the motto "Students: Interior: Interior: Inside". The run, which took place as a cross-country event about the extensive school premises, was planned and carried out by teacher Matthias Reitgruber as part of the elective subject "Healthy Worlds in Motion" (GWB).

More than 200 students from the lower level took part in the event and completed distances of either 1.7 or 2.6 kilometers. The competition was divided into four classes to determine the fastest runners.

The three first graders convinced among the younger students, whereby Annika Tauzimsky (1d) emerged as the winner, followed by her classmates Katharina Cubert (1b) and Valentina Permoser (1b). The field was also strong for the younger guys, and Thomas Lielacher from 2b secured the day's victory in front of his classmates Jan Braunstorfer and Niklas Tauzimsky.

The decision in the course of the girls in the third and fourth grade was extremely scarce: Nina Hofer (3b) won ahead of Emely Pürzelmayer (4c) and Finja Podek (3a), with the lead was only two or four seconds. Among the older boys, Niklas Lueger (4b) won the title of the schoolmaster and left Ben Schneider (4b) and Theo Horvath (4D) behind.

The event was enthusiastically accepted by the participants and was a successful opportunity to show the sporting skills and to promote the community spirit between the students. Such activities are important for the development of team spirit and responsibility and make school life more varied and exciting.
