Explosion and fire: Fire Brigade Wiener Neustadt fights in Daimlengasse

in Daimlergasse in Wiener Neustadt there was a dramatic fire when a garden hut went up in flames for reasons that have not yet been clarified. The alarmed fire brigade Wiener Neustadt moved out to the site with several vehicles after citizens had informed the fire brigade.

As the area salarium center reported, the emergency services faced a difficult challenge: a quick intervention was essential, since the fire quickly attacked the entire hut and put vehicles parked nearby and an adjacent multi -party house. While the fire brigade arrived, residents were already trying to fight the flames with a garden hose. This was a daring but courageous attempt to control the fire.

Development of the fire

When the fire brigade arrived, the garden hut was already in full fire. The fire fighting under heavy breathing protection was immediately initiated. The situation seemed even more difficult than there were several explosions, presumably through the bursting of gas cartridges and spray cans. Despite these dangers, the firefighters did not let themselves be put off and consistently continued their extinguishing measures.

Two fire trucks were on site to work with two extinguishing pipes practically on several fronts. In the meantime, residents of the nearby multi -party house had to be evacuated from their apartments. Another important element in the extinguishing process was to open the facade with a rescue saw to monitor the course of the fire and prevent further spread. The head of operations, fire director Christian Pfeiffer, described the situation with concerned words: "The windows in the near area were already strongly fire."

A worrying aspect was the facade insulation of the adjacent building, which was already significantly damaged by the heat. Not only the exterior was affected; After completing the extinguishing work, a battery of a photovoltaic system had to be secured in a special barrel to prevent another fire.

coordination of the emergency services

The Red Cross was also nearby, ready to support the emergency services medically. The police were on site to lock the site, which guaranteed the security of the residents and the emergency services. The emergency calls came from several areas, and for faster processing of them they were forwarded to various alarm centers in Lower Austria.

"Thanks to the networking of the alarm centers, we avoid delays and ensure that callers have the feeling that their important information is heard," explains Brandrat Norbert Schmidtberger, 1st fire department commander, to the course and the organization of calls. In about two hours, 26 members of the Wiener Neustadt fire brigade were deployed, supported by various vehicles, including aerial ladder and armory.

The rapid reaction of the fire brigade and the support of the residents ultimately contributed to preventing the fire from spreading to the entire building. The procedure was subsequently regarded as crucial for the damage limitation.
