Ex-mayor Koza stages attack-judgment with consequences for Vösendorf!

A spectacular case from Lower Austria makes headlines: the former mayor of Vösendorf, Hannes Koza, admitted to the court that he has staged an attack on himself in order to excite himself. This terrifying unveiling led to a suspended sentence of nine months that the district court of Wiener Neustadt imposed on him. On December 10, 2024, Koza claimed that an unknown perpetrator had attacked him in the Vösendorf castle park. The story was bubbling when Koza himself published photos of his injuries, which, however, turned out to be self -injuries because he deliberately put his head onto the floor.

in February 2025 Koza resigned from his office and confessed that he wanted to go into the victim role to attain compassion. When he appeared in court, he regretted not looking for help earlier and advocated a mild judgment. "I just wanted to work for Vösendorf in peace," he said, spoke of a "short -circuit story". The judge rejected a diversion because Koza was suspected of manipulating a lawyer bill. After his resignation, ÖVP Vice Mayor Birgit Petross took over the community transactions, and new elections were scheduled for autumn, which could have a sustainable influence on the political landscape in Vösendorf, as well as noe.orf reported.

The events around Koza, who claimed to have been threatened by a hooded man, throw a dark shadow on the integrity of the political landscape. The scandal not only led to its conviction, but also to a comprehensive change in the local council, while its former opposition colleagues resigned their mandates. A bitter pill for the ÖVP, which now has to reorganize itself, as kosmo.at reported.
