Discover the variety: Open 122 museums to the ORF-Langen Night
On October 5, 2024, the 24th "ORF-Lange Nacht der Museen" will take place in Lower Austria, at which 122 museums and collections are open from 6 p.m. to midnight. Visitors can look forward to a varied program that leaves nothing to be desired. The special programs that are offered in 49 houses for children are particularly exciting for families.
The ticket prices are attractive: normal tickets cost 17 euros, reduced tickets are available for 14 euros and for a regional variant you only pay 6 euros. These prices enable many interested parties access to the cultural events in the region.

Museum St. Peter an der Sperr
This museum has been active since 1824 and offers a year-round exhibition "tell Neustadt", which explores the 800-year history of the city. Special activities are planned for the long night:
- craft station for children (6 p.m. to 10 p.m.) - children can tinker their own dragons that fly in the autumn wind.
- Curator tour through the exhibition "Ritter" (6 p.m. and 8 p.m.).
- Signing hour with Giulio Camagni (6.30pm to 10pm) - he will sign his graphic novel "The Emperor".

Here visitors can admire top-class classic cars, including vehicles such as Frank Sinatras Bentley and King George’s Rolls-Royce. The museum not only exhibits restored, but also original vehicles. The highlights include:

Bauernmuseum Lanzenkirchen
This museum offers a deep insight into rural life with more than 6,000 exhibits. Visitors can actively participate in various demonstrations, such as:
- "Wash and iron like back then" - without electricity.
- "From flax to the linen yarn" - a weather -dependent demonstration of flax processing.
- "Attempt to commission a classic car tractor" - original tractors are to be presented here.
