Vienna builds e-charging infrastructure: 50 new quick charging stations come!
In Vienna there is an exciting progress in electromobility: Smatrics EnBW has massively increased the number of ultra -fast loading points in the city with the opening of four new locations. These new High Power Charging (HPC) loading points are strategically placed on the Billa and Billa Plus site in the 23rd district, in Swatoschgasse, Pilotengasse and Julius Ficker Straße. Thomas Landsbek, CEO of SMATRICS ENBW, emphasizes the importance of a strong charging infrastructure for a big city like Vienna: "Public and fast charging is essential. We are planning to build around 50 other public HPC loading points in Vienna," he reports. These measures are intended to strengthen confidence in e-mobility and enable users to load electricity for up to 400 kilometers within just 15 minutes, so ots.at

The expansion does not only extend to Vienna: By the end of March 2024, SMATRICS EnBW has added a total of 40 new HPC loading points across Austria. Thomas Landsbek emphasizes: "In just three months we were able to increase the number of fast loading points from 176 to 216." The expansion of the charging infrastructure is particularly concentrated in the federal states with the highest new registrations of electric vehicles such as Vienna, Lower Austria and Upper Austria. According to Smatrics.com , the new Ladepark in Vorchdorf is a key project with a total of 16 loading points that not only benefits the residents there, but also the regional tourism.
With over 600 quick load points at more than 140 locations across Austria, SMATRICS EnBW already operates the country's largest nationwide quick -air network. The company plans to shorten the distances between the charging points in such a way that in the future it is possible every 40 kilometers of ultra-fast shop, which will significantly improve the experience for e-car drivers. All charging stations are operated with 100 percent renewable electricity, which is not only ecologically sensible, but also underlines the commitment of SMATRICS EnBW for a sustainable future.
