Discover the world of brass music: Open rehearsal in Waidhofen
The Waidhofen wind orchestra opens its doors for everyone interested in music! On Saturday, November 9th, visitors have the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes from 9:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the rehearsal room of the orchestra in the Kulturschlössl and experience how brass music is created. This openness aims to give people the opportunity to get to know the dynamics and the process of making music first.
Autumn has just broken down, but for the wind orchestra this already means preparations for the next spring concert, which will be performed on March 29. A varied program is put together under the direction of the new conductor Silvia Jäger and her deputy Lukas Honeder. Also included are well -known pieces that are still familiar to many from pop culture, for example "Gonna Fly Now" from the well -known film "Rocky" and a selection from the popular musical film "Greatest Showman".
invitation to the open rehearsal
The particularly addressed are everyone who already plays a wind instrument or drums. In addition, former musicians who think about becoming active again are cordially invited. But even those who have no instrumental knowledge can also take the opportunity to observe live how new pieces are rehearsed. This is a great opportunity to get to know the participants of the orchestra better.
The extensive program also includes traditional sounds, such as the "cute cloth of the queen" and the polka "Gablonzer Pearls". With this mixture of new and proven melodies, the wind orchestra will offer a concert that combines both nostalgia and fresh impressions.
Participation in this open sample offers an incomparable opportunity to learn more about the ensemble and its members. The focus is on musical enthusiasm and the sense of community, and the organizers are looking forward to a lively participation.
