The municipality of Würmla took part in a special event last weekend: the 39th Leonhardiritt, a traditional celebration, in which riders and horse carriages moved through the picturesque town. The event united the parish and the market town to keep this ancient custom alive. The festival service, which was celebrated by the pastors Josef Balteanu and Erich Resch, formed the festive start for all participants.After the service, those present gathered in front of the parish church to take over the Leonhardistarte. Afterwards the riding and carriage ride around Würmla began, which ended in the castle park. The blessing of the horses was another Highlight of the event, in which the animals were recognized for their important role during the festival. As in previous years, the Musikverein Würmla, which fueled the mood with festive brass music.

The safety of the participants was an important concern, which is why the two local fire brigade teams from Saladorf and Würmla were available to intervene in an emergency.
