Molln athletes shine at the state championships in Tulln

The Molln National Park Athletics Club achieved a remarkable performance at the Austrian Cross Country Championships in Tulln by reaching fifth place in the team rankings. This is a significant result for the club, which was able to hold its own in strong competition.

The athletes provided exciting moments on the demanding long distance of around 8.8 kilometers. Lukas Helmberger from Steinbach am Ziehberg achieved 15th place in the individual ranking and was the third fastest runner from Upper Austria. Christoph Stadler from Micheldorf followed closely behind in 17th place (4th Upper Austrian), and Georg Trinkl, who has recently joined LAC and comes from Vorderstoder, secured 19th place (5th Upper Austria). Together they ensured an impressive team performance and are now in a placement field with the best clubs in Austria.

Gladiator Hill Challenge

A crucial point on the route was the infamous “Gladiator Hill”, which the runners had to climb a total of seven times. This challenge turned out to be crucial for the placings. The LAC masters runners Christoph Hackl and Ralf Neuland also showed impressive performances by taking sixth and seventh place respectively in their age groups.

The overall victory for the men went to Manuel Innerhofer from Salzburg, who completed the route in an excellent time. He was followed by the up-and-coming talent Timo Hinterdorfer from Vienna and his twin brother Hans-Peter Innerhofer. In the women's category, the Carinthian triathlete Carina Reicht took first place, followed by Marie-Theres Gruber from Salzburg and the obstacle specialist Lena Millonig. Tobias Rattinger from LAC BMD Steyr became Austrian champion on the short distance.

These successes in Tulln underline the strength and cohesion of the LAC Molln National Park. The athletes showed that they are capable of competing at the highest level and achieving impressive performances, which also made the club's fans and supporters rejoice.
