Josefa Geiger: Farewell to the Mayor, the Sieghartskirchen shaped

The mayor of Sieghartskirchen, Josefa Geiger, has announced that she will no longer compete in the upcoming municipal council election in 2025. After more than two decades in the local council, of which the last ten years as mayor, she says goodbye to her office. Geiger explained that this decision was anything but easy for her because it filled out her role with great passion and commitment.

Geiger, who will no longer take election on January 26, 2025, successfully implemented numerous projects during her term. This includes significant renovation work at the elementary school, the new building and the renovation of the municipal office and the expansion of kindergartens. Street support and the support of clubs were also central issues of their political work.

Geiger is particularly proud of the installation of photovoltaic systems on public buildings - a step towards a more sustainable future. As a chairwoman of the citizens' community, she is happy that many municipal residents have followed this environmentally conscious way. Geiger emphasizes that equal opportunities for children and adolescents are close to their heart and that the visits of school children in the municipal office have always been special moments for them.

Despite her decision to withdraw from politics in the coming year, Geiger assures that she will continue to lead her official business with full passion until the election. She would like to realize some projects together with the municipality before she finally completes her resignation. Geiger sees her farewell as the conclusion of a chapter, but is convinced that the history of Sieghartskirchen continues.
