Difficult Saturday afternoon for Rapid Academy Chances

An unfortunate Saturday for the academic teams of SK Rapid ended with disappointing results in three encounters against the neighbors of Admira Wacker. Only the U15 was able to secure a point, while the U18 and U16 had to take clear defeats.

While the U18 team of coach Florian Forster quickly fell behind after a promising start, it didn't look much better for the U16 under David Gattinger. Both teams could not turn their games in their favor, which led to a tense starting point in the table.

setbacks for the U18 and U16

The day was particularly frustrating for the U18. After a goal in the 15th minute, the players had no chance of avoiding the defeat despite their efforts and a brief tap in the course of the game. In the 55th minute the second and last goal fell, which sealed the first defeat of the season. After six victorious games, the fall in the defeat was a hard blow.

for the U16 it went similarly. They had to accept the first goal in the 9th minute and then had difficulty converting their numerous chances into goals. In the end, the eleven were in eighth place in the ÖFB youth league table, a disappointing result after the team was successful in the previous season.

on the other hand, the SK Rapid U15 was able to book a point on the property. Although they also fell behind early in the 7th minute, they picked up the booklet and fought a draw in the 18th minute by a hit by Frederic Sadat Gouche. Despite their dominance in the second phase of the game, they failed to score the winning goal. With this point, the U15 is currently in second place in the table in the ÖFB youth league, directly behind Rb.

This afternoon was a turning point for the academy teams from SK Rapid. The teams now have the challenge of learning from these experiences and returning more in the coming games. An afternoon full of emotions that could offer the young players valuable lessons for the future.
