Serious accident on B4: 12 injuries and 3 rescue helicopters in action!

On April 17, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred on the B4 federal road near Zissersdorf in the municipality of Hausleiten, Lower Austria. Several vehicles were involved in the incident, which led to an alarming situation in which a total of 12 people were injured, some of them difficult. The rescue control center Lower Austria reacted immediately and alerted numerous emergency services to quickly supply the injured.

In total, several rescue and emergency teams and three emergency helicopters were used. A district operations manager was also on site to coordinate the situation. The fire brigades from Stockerau, Zissersdorf, Niederrußbach, Hausleiten and Seitzersdorf-Wolfpassing were also involved to help at the scene of the accident. They took over the important task of rescuing the vehicles.
