Festive magic in Wieselburg: Advent has started!

The anticipation of the contemplative time of the year is noticeable, because the Wieselburg Advent is just around the corner! On the four Advent weekends in December 2024, the city will shine in a Christmas shine and offer diverse events that will inspire young and old.

Let's start on Saturday, November 30th, at which the Kasperltheater "The Little Golden Star Child" will be performed at 4 p.m. in the star house. As a result, the solemn Advent wreath consecration takes place at 5:30 p.m., followed by a musical opening by the youth brass Band of the music school at 6 p.m. The evening is rounded off with festive Christmas carols by Magic Music from 6:30 p.m.

The Sunday, December 1st, offers two highlights: at 4 p.m. the figure theater "The Little I am I" and from 5:00 p.m. Christmas sounds from the "Hopfen brass" group. The mixture of theater and music promises a varied experience for the whole family.

In particular, the children get their money's worth in the first week of Advent. On Saturday, December 6th, the popular children's cinema "Peterson and Findus" is on the program, which begins at 4 p.m. For the somewhat older visitors there is a reading of Christmas stories at 6 p.m. in the Neubacher Schloßcafé. The Advent concert of the Stadtkapelle Wieselburg decides on the day from 5:00 p.m.

The next Sunday praises the artistic talent of the region: The drama group of the Musikschule Wieselburg presents at 4 p.m. "What's going on with the Christ Child?" And at 6 p.m. a spectacular perch run with the "Wieselburger Zwieslteifin" is expected. Afterwards, festive melodies from the Advent concert of the city chapel again.

In the course of the further weekend of Advent there are many other performances, including dance and instrumental performances on December 14th and on December 15, the abdominal speaker and puppeteer Max Wully in the star house will be entertained the spectators with "The Schnellige Christmas Elf".

A special highlight is Friday, December 20: Here the musical "Peter Pan" will inspire children and adults alike. At 7:00 p.m. the day ends with the drawing of the Advent competition.

The final of the Wieselburg Advent takes place on December 22nd. At 4 p.m., the Kasperltheater "The Misory Christmas Cookies" will be performed in the star house, and from 6 p.m. the Christ child will be visited in the star house. Magic Music will enrich the evening with modern and traditional Christmas carols.

Every weekend, visitors also expect a handicraft exhibition in the market palace, which is open from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and offers a variety of handmade Christmas presents.
