Desired tree campaign brings joy to Neunkirchen-Seelscheid
In the municipality of Neunkirchen-Seelscheid, the popular desired tree campaign, which has existed since 2014. It aims to fulfill a special wish for children and young people from needy families at Christmas. The concept is simple and inviting: Christmas trees are set up in the places of Seelscheid and Neunkirchen, on which envelopes with information on various projects are hanging.
The focus is on a special project for this year's campaign. A nice picnic option on the newly designed village square in front of the family library in Seelscheid is to be created for the little ones of the community. Each envelope contains a project description, a proposed donation amount and a puzzle piece with a number. Interested donors can take an envelope off the tree and specify the associated number in the town hall.
This is how the action works
The special thing about the desired tree action is the use of a puzzle. An identical puzzle is exhibited in the town hall, which is provided with the same numbers that also hang on the envelopes. The number of the puzzle piece is given at each donation, and gradually the puzzle in the town hall is completed. As soon as the puzzle is complete, the financing of the project can be ensured.
This creative approach enables the community to actively participate in the fate of their neighbors and at the same time pursue a common goal. By combining donations and the puzzle game, not only commitment is promoted, but also the anticipation for the end result of the collected funds.
The desired tree action shows how important community and support are, especially in the Christmas season. The initiative gives people the opportunity to help others and thus have a direct impact on the quality of life of the children in the community.
