Neunkirchen: still available funding for climate protection measures!

The municipality of Neunkirchen promotes environmentally friendly projects with grants from its climate protection promotion program, and there are still financial means to award. So far, 80 inhabitants have submitted applications to benefit from the funding. Applications can be submitted, for example, for the acquisition of balcony power plants, e-scooters, rainwater use plants or solar carports. "There is still money in the pot," explains Matthias Jung, the municipality's environmental and climate protection consultant. About a third of the total available 30,000 euros are available.

The popularity of the programs is particularly evident in mini-photovoltaic systems, which are also known as balcony power plants. Interested private individuals from Neunkirchen can receive up to 150 euros in funding. The municipality has a total of twelve different climate -friendly measures in three areas.
