Neunkirchen: NEW RAD SERVICE IN ATONISPLATZ opened

Am Antoniusplatz in Neunkirchen-Seelscheid was recently inaugurated a new bike service station, which immediately catches your bright yellow presence. This practical furnishings offer cyclists the opportunity to repair their two -wheeler or simply refill the tire air.

The 1.50 meter high repair column was set up by the ADAC North Rhine near the Bike station of the RSVG. Walter Hornung, Board of Sport at ADAC North Rhine, commented on the importance of this initiative. He explained that more and more people switch to the bike, be it for the way to work or for leisure activities. However, the increasing use of the bike is often associated with an increased risk of breakdown. "With the stations we want to establish a service infrastructure that is freely accessible for all," said Hornung during the official opening with Mayor Nicole Berka.

availability and equipment of the station

The RadService station is open around the clock and can be used by everyone regardless of an ADAC membership. This accessibility is particularly important at a time when cycling is becoming increasingly popular. In the station, users find a variety of high -quality tools, including various screwdrivers, coat lifts, fork key and a multitool. All tools are safe and waterproof inside the pillar to prevent theft.

Another practical aspect of the station is the integrated foot air pump. On the right lower side of the column there is a foot pedal element that helps users pump their tires quickly and easily. "It can also be used for repairs to strollers or pulling screws on skateboards," said Thomas Mülther, press spokesman for the ADAC.

Mayor Nicole Berka emphasized the benefits for the community: "We are very grateful that we as a community can benefit from the ADAC Radservice station. The location on Antoniusplatz is optimal because the repair space is supplementing the existing infrastructure with the bus parking lot and the e-bike station."

The RadService station is part of a larger project. The ADAC North Rhine is planning to install a total of 28 such stations in North Rhine-Westphalia by the end of the year. The assembly takes place under the direction of the regional club area in the Cologne and Düsseldorf government districts with the support of Bike Components from Würselen.

A total of 13 other bike service stations in other federal states, and other locations are being planned. There are already two other locations in the Rhein-Sieg-Kreis region in Lohmar am Krewelshof and in Troisdorf in Spich am Waldstadion. This shows the engagement of the ADAC to improve the cycling infrastructure and offer cyclists more support.
