New residential project in Seelscheid: 36 apartments for everyone

In Seinscheid, a new residential project called "Diversity in the Krautbitze" is created. Two apartment buildings will be built at the site of the former Lindenberg nursery, which will house 36 residential units in the future. The construction has already started: the old greenhouses have been torn down and the site is currently being processed. The builders, Robert Chalupnik and Markus Duas, presented their vision for this living space in a groundbreaking ceremony.

The planned apartments will offer different sizes between 50 and 100 square meters. In total, the living space will be almost 2,600 square meters. It is particularly gratifying for the residents that the rental costs at 7.25 euros per square meter are far below the usual prices on the free market. This is important for the community because affordable living space is increasingly in short supply.

Details on the construction project

The project is supported by an investment of around 10 million euros, with 8.8 million euros being provided as funding. The construction work, which includes an underground car park and elevators in every house, should be completed by the end of 2026. In addition, a small park with a playground is planned and the roofs of the buildings are greened and equipped with photovoltaic systems.

"When applying for the funding, we received a lot of support from the municipality and the Rhein-Sieg district. That was a new experience for us," said Markus Duas, one of the managing directors of the property developer company II. Chalupnik added that it is important to them to work mainly with local companies to ensure good cooperation. District Administrator Sebastian Schuster and district administrator Regina Rosenstock were also present among the invited guests at the groundbreaking ceremony.

The mayor of Neunkirchen-Seelscheid, Nicole Berka, was optimistic about the development of the project. She explained that it was important to create suitable and affordable housing offers for different target groups, including single parents and young families.

The location and the conscious decision to anchor the project locally show the commitment of the developers and the municipality in the creation of living space, which is accessible to everyone. This project could be a step that not only contributes to improving the living situation, but also to settle the residents in this region.

The construction project in Seelscheid is evidence of how communities can actively work for the provision of living space, especially in times when the need for affordable living space increases steadily. More details on this topic can be found in a detailed report www.ksta.de .
