The popular Café Balott in Neustrasse 78 in Trier surprisingly closed its doors! However, coffee lovers do not have to panic, because the branch on the grain market remains open and, as usual, offers a large selection of delicious drinks and sweet treats. The closure came on social media without any announcement and leaves many questions.

With large golden letters on the windows and the inviting slogan "I Think I Need a Cup of Coffee", the first curious guests attract. This Thursday, November 7, 2024, the new café opens its doors at 9:00 a.m. and promises more than just coffee - it will be a place where art and enjoyment meet.

"Haaft" is not just a café, but a creative space in which works of regional artists are regularly exhibited. The operators invite guests to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and to take part in art events and workshops. The opening times are Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

But what is behind the name "Haaft"? The owner explains that the word comes from the Persian and symbolically stands for the number of seven, which is considered powerful and lucky in many cultures. "With this name I would like to convey that my café is a place of calm and balance," said the operator. The modern and cozy atmosphere should invite you to feel good with a hot drink or an inspiring conversation.
