F/list: Thomasberger Edeltischlerei expands worldwide and secures 850 jobs
In the lively world of Edeltischlerei, F/List is a name that keeps standing out. Michael Groiss, CFO of the company, reports that F/List expects an impressive turnover of 140 million euros for 2024. This number is the result of carefully planned strategies and a global market presence that extends to locations in North America, South America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
Around 1,250 employees work for F/LIST worldwide, with about 850 working at the main location in Thomasberg. There is also a joint venture in Kindberg with 55 employees and a location near London, which has around 100 employees. In Canada, the company also has a large presence with around 100 employees. "This is also the only production location next to Thomasberg," explains Groiss.
locations in overseas
In the USA, F/List operates three other locations in Colorado, Georgia and Florida, while the company is also represented in Brazil and Dubai. This international distribution is not accidental, but follows strategic considerations based on the requirements of the most important customers. "Our first location was Canada because our most important customer, Bombardier, is native there," says Groiss.
The decision for the other locations was also strategically: In Colorado, aircraft are made by the Swiss company Pilatus, while Georgia Gulfstream is based. Florida and London are particularly important for the Aftermarket for F/List.
Groiss emphasizes that the Edeltenschlerei remained stable during the pandeme -related challenges and inflation. "The List company is on healthy legs," he emphasizes. In addition, the company is researching new potential locations in order to further promote growth.
future plans and challenges
A particularly interesting aspect is the endeavor of F/List to gain a foothold in Asia, a market with strong growth potential. "60 to 65 percent of all business jets are in the USA. If you want to look after all of America, you need a greater presence," explains Groiss. He adds that Africa is also considered as a future market.
Currently, however, the focus is on expanding the locations in Georgia and Florida and increasing their capacities. Another obstacle that has to be overcome is the shortage of skilled workers. Groiss emphasizes that the quality of the craftsmen at the Thomasberg location is significantly higher than in the United States. "It is important to us that the location has list quality," he says.
Total F/List achieves the greatest sales through the equipment of business jets, with a share of around 80 percent. However, the importance of the equipment of yachts and residences is continuously increasing. Every year the experts from F/List equip around 260 aircraft. In addition, the company celebrated its 20th anniversary in the aviation area this year, while in 2025 the ambitious goal of 75 years is due.
With a solid foundation and a clear growth course, F/cunning is well positioned in order to continue to successfully meet the challenges of the market. For further details on these exciting developments, a comprehensive report www.meinbezirk.at can be read.
