Bookstore spoon wood: star of the comedy series perfectly missed
The bookstore Löffelholz in Neunkirchen recently played a very special role: it served as the location for the new comedy series "perfectly missed", which has been seen on Amazon Prime since August. The idyllic bookstore was temporarily transformed into the fictional "reading lamp", a place that belongs in the series of the main protagonist Maria Lampe, played by Anke Engelke. Paulina Löffelholz, the owner, enthusiastically reported on the experience and reactions of her regular customers, who were proud to be part of this project. "Half the place was paralyzed here for a week," said Löffelholz.
During the filming that took place shortly before Easter, the main street in Neunkirchen was parked with truck. A small container landscape had been built on the market square to make the scene more realistic. In front of the bookstore, accumulators were built that simulated a Marburg backdrop to have it mirrored in the windows of the bookstore.
The illusion of another city
Overall, the implementation of the shoot had a fascinating atmosphere. Paulina Löffelholz said: "It was crazy to see how our own bookstore was inserted into the upper town of Marburg." This conversion was particularly surprising because the actual location in Marburg is represented by a less appealing building. The local companies were impressed by the creativity used when filming to bring the fictional world to life.
The decision to shoot in a real bookstore instead of in a studio was deliberately made by the film team. Löffelholz said: "It was totally important to the team to do this in a real bookstore because the atmospheric is something completely different." A large team of over 30 people came to the bookstore to meticulously check the conditions and to carry out detailed planning. This also included technical aspects such as strong power connections and water requirements.
To make the filming possible, some adjustments had to be made. The sign of the bookstore was overlooked and converted into the "reading lamp", shelf lettering had to be changed and books were exchanged for old paperback editions due to image rights. Despite the challenges that the time of filming brought with it, since it was a strong sales time before Easter, spoon wood with the production company agreed on a compensation payment.
was particularly impressed by spoon wood from the devotion of the actors. Although she did not want to address them directly so as not to disturb her, she observed the concentrated work of the actors and was fascinated by the details that were taken into account for the authenticity of the film. "Even in our office, where it was not filmed, the team has exchanged note and notes on our whiteboard for which that fit into the series," she added, which illustrates the attention to detail.
A small fun fact: Paulina spoon wood itself also has a appearance in the final series, where she can be seen as an extras at a reading in the audience. The joy and pride of this remarkable cooperation are noticeable in each of their stories.
