In bright sunshine and an exuberant mood, the largest carnival parade in eastern Austria took place in Mödling on Sunday, March 2. Over 40,000 visitors flocked to the European city to experience the colorful performances of 52 carnival groups. The traditional groups presented themselves on tractors, trucks and on foot and moved from Wiener Straße to the Freedomplace.
