The autumn concert in Ladendorf: A festival of music and honors
The Ladendorf Music Association and the Ladendorf Choir invited people to their traditional autumn concert on Saturday evening, which took place in the ballroom of the community center. The event motto “Great music and moving honors” was once again fully fulfilled. Many visitors came to experience the impressive performances and the honoring of long-standing members of the club.
At the beginning of the concert, the WindKids, the music association's young orchestra, thrilled everyone with a selection of four varied pieces of music. Youth leader Andi Weißböck described the musicians as “a colorful bunch” who play music with great joy and talent. Their performance received great applause, which impressively demonstrated the potential of the young musicians.
The choir's sonorous performance
After the performance of the young musicians, the Ladendorf choir took over the stage, conducted by Yvonne Wimmer. They presented soulful songs such as “You have to go over seven bridges” and “Wie a wüd’s Wossa”, which deeply touched the audience. The harmonious voices and expressiveness of the choir were another highlight of the evening.
Afterwards, the almost 50-strong orchestra of the music association performed. Under the leadership of Norbert Schmiedbauer, the musicians fascinated the audience with “Brass music is so beautiful”, followed by two demanding pieces in category C. These pieces will be performed at an upcoming concert music assessment. Schmiedbauer proudly reported on the orchestra's progress and the decision to compete in higher categories.
Honors for deserving members
An important part of the evening were the awards for special achievements. Sigrid Seltenhammer was honored for 15 years of committed membership. Kapellmeister Norbert Schmiedbauer received an honor for successfully completing his conducting course B and acquiring the silver badge. In addition, seven other members were able to successfully complete their musician achievement badges. Chairman Joe Mayer emphasized the importance of these further training courses and their influence on the level of the musical groups.
The concert culminated with a cheerful hit medley that encouraged the audience to clap and sing along. After two inspiring encores, the music club said goodbye with stormy applause, which once again demonstrated the musical diversity and high quality of both ensembles in Ladendorf.
