Days of transformation: distrust as a key to culture

The Festival "Days of Transformation" in the Melk Abbey will be held this year from October 25th to 27th under the exciting topic of "distrust". Organized by the Globart Association, the event promises a variety of interesting activities that deal with the role of distrust in today's society.

The festival's opening takes place by the author Marlene Streeruwitz with a kick -off lecture that will offer insights into the central topic. The program is rich, includes workshops and portraits of personalities who act as pioneers of change. An exhibition by Judith Fegerls entitled "Silent Machines" can be seen in the gerble's garden pavilion. In addition, the festival will find its crowning glory with a concert by Lukas Lauermann.

insights into the meaning of distrust

On the second day of the festival, the philosopher Marie-Luisa Frick will raise questions as to whether distrust can be a virtue and how far our trust in modern technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) should go. Investigative reporters and Pulitzer award winner Christo Buschek will also have their say and address the challenges of our trust in technical systems. Another panel discussion is devoted to the transparency in the economy and the complex supply chains, which are often the focus of distrust.

director and artistic director Jakob Brossmann explains the importance of distrust in our social context: "Distrust plays a central role in our development - socially, socially, socially. Basically, you can find a counter -opinion within a very statement. How do we go to the sovereign?" place.

Another highlight of the events will be the presentation of the commemorative publication "Unsimined. A confession" by journalist Solmaz Khorsand. On the evening of October 26, the staged manifesto "against war and tyranny" is shown, followed by a profound analysis of how trust arises that deals with the topic on the last day of the festival.

These events represent an excellent opportunity to deal with the critical question of how trust and distrust are interwoven in our everyday life, and they offer space for deeper considerations on a topic that is of central importance today.
