Artificial intelligence in tourism: Workshop series inspires Mostviertel

The "Artificial Intelligence in Tourism" Road Show recently stopped at the Wildernis House in Lunz am See. This series, which was organized in close cooperation between the House of Digitization and Lower Austria, has proven to be extremely popular. The rush to the workshops was so great that an additional appointment in the Mostviertel was necessary, which was also quickly fully booked.

Andreas Purt, Managing Director of the Mostviertel Destination, emphasized the need to constantly improve the guest experiences in tourism. "Tourism companies are always looking for new ways to improve the guest experience. KI opens up opportunities to optimize internal processes and thus create unique experiences," he explained with conviction.

The workshop offered 21 participants the opportunity to gain extensive insights into the possibilities of artificial intelligence (AI). Philipp-Thomas Müller, the managing director of Ctrle Consulting & Holding GmbH, led through the event and presented innovative AI solutions. These approaches are intended to help the companies in the industry to make their marketing and communication strategies as well as internal processes more efficient.

The organizers emphasized the importance of these workshops. According to Lukas Reutterer and Claus Zeppelzauer, both managing directors in the House of Digitization, "the high demand clearly shows the growing need for practical AI solutions in the tourism sector. The targeted use of AI can not only increase the efficiency of companies, but also enhance the experience for guests."

After the successful workshop in the Mostviertel, two more dates for the roadshow have already been set: On November 22, 2024, the event will take place in the Waldviertel, Schwarz Alm in Zwettl and on November 29, 2024 in the Haus der Digitization in Tulln. This free workshop series is aimed at accommodation companies, gastronomy and leisure providers who will explore the advantages of artificial intelligence for their companies.
